Canada Post equipment return delay, but Telus charged me 125$

I returned the equipment (a TV modem interface) within the specified timeframe via Canada Post, following the established procedure. Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, Telus provided the following statement on their website:

Well, Telus not only charged me $125 for late delivery, but after speaking with a customer service representative, he promised to remove the late fees. However, they did not keep their promise.

According to the Canada Post website, the following information is currently displayed:

2025-01-17 11_34_32-Canada Post - Track a package by tracking number.png

This is a regrettable and unethical business practice, as it demonstrates a lack of respect for a valued customer. Telus has demonstrated a pattern of conduct that falls short of the standards expected of a reputable corporation, prioritizing financial gain over customer satisfaction.

so are you planning to pay it?

I have not yet made the payment, as I have already paid my regular bills. However, I have been informed that if I do not make the payment, my line will be disconnected. Is this a standard practice?

You mean if you don't make a payment you are out of the contract? Not aware of it being standard practice. Used to be they threatened to put a mark on your credit report.

I don't know, but I have paid all my bills, but I don't know why I have to pay something and wait forever to get a refund when it is clear that this is a problem between Telus and Canada Post. Again, this is really unethical behavior!
