Access to Telephone Room for PureFibre

MG4

Hi all!

My building just had lines run into each unit for PureFibre and I was wondering if the installer will still need access to the telephone room, as the building maintenance company is next to impossible to get a hold of (although I did submit a request).

Thanks!

ETA: The line is already run to my unit, but I subscribed to services with an install date of this Wednesday.

If it's for the very first install of fibre service to your unit, yes it's very likely that yes they'll need access to the telephone/electrical room where the fibre equipment / boxes were installed.

Does the building company/manager only have access to this room? Or will Telus have a master key?

That will entirely depend on the building. Some will allow Telus to install a lockbox in the building. Some property managers / stratas will hold the keys themselves and will need to be notified by the customer / unit occupant in advance about Telus coming out and needing access. My building is currently the latter.
