Using T3200M with Boosters

I'd like to know if a T3200M can participate in the mesh network when one adds 2 Telus WiFi 5 boosters?  I currently have my first booster plugged into the T3200M via ethernet, but it is in a room a good distance from the T3200M.  I'm using the second booster for my garage... both of these are using a separate SSID.  I'd like to set up a guest network for my downstairs tenants that uses the stock SSID and password of the T3200M so that any of their devices connect seemlessly.  I believe their TV is currently using the 5 Ghz signal from the T3200M, but I'd like them to be able to benefit from a better WiFi signal on the other side of the house where my booster is located.  I acknowledge that I saw some posts from about 5 years ago where some responses indicated that a T3200 will not participate in a mesh network, but my unit is a T3200M.  Does the M suffix signify that it can participate in a mesh network?

  • Hi mkanwischer - the T3200 won't participate in a handoff with a booster. You can set up the same SSID and Password on all your equipment but the boosters are able to mesh and perform the handoffs without any work needing to be done. On the T3200 you'd need to manually disconnect from it and connect to your boosters
