Using a Boost W-Fi 6 as a wireless booster
Hello, I have a new Boost 7 that is connected to the NAH via Ethernet. I am wondering if it is possible to use a Boost 6 as a wireless booster in the basement without needing to connect it to the NA...

Telus has so much mixed information on this. In another forum they say Boost Wifi 7 boxes cannot be used together. Here they say they can.
The reality from my own testing as a Telus customer with both Wifi 6 and Wifi 7 Boost devices is that they can both be used together. In my network I had 2 Wifi 6 Boosts for years working in mesh. I recently upgraded to Telus 3 Gig and was sent a Wifi 7 Boost. I added this to my existing switched network and after a learning process, the Wifi 7 Boost became the controller and the others agents in a perfectly working mesh network.
The real struggles come when you try to add a second Wifi 7 Boost to your existing Wifi 7 network. 2 of those do NOT like working together, because they both only support being controllers. Thanks to another forum, I managed to implement the noted workaround by daisy chaining them together. I've been able to remove the Wifi 6 Boosts from the network now and have full mesh Wifi 7 in my network.
Hope it helps. Good luck!
