I am watching a show, whether live TV, recorded or streaming. The sound volume goes up and down during the show. At times (TV sound 1-100) it will be just right at 10, other times it is 50. This is ...
No to Automatic Volume Control except the volume leveler the Telus tuner has, which is off.
The sound issue has been around since 2023 as acknowledged by Optik Kate. It has to do with surround sound and updates that leapfrog other updates. One update fixes it and the next update fixing something else is programming software before the update that fixed another problem.
This started again with the current update 1.25.10.300 which maybe means October 25th. I found mine on auto format.
I chose None again and will update. I think it is the auto switch that send surround to a TV that does not have surround.
