Renewal after the initial two years
Planning ahead. I just realized I have not had anything to bitch about for some time.
Posted in the TV forum so this is not about house or cell phones.
Has anyone renewed their contract willingly after the initial 2 year contract. Looking for a discussion on whether you accepted the new costs without discounts and carried on automatically or whether you received a new contract from TELUS loyalty.

As many have said they will terminate at the end.
The growing pains with TELUS TV 21-T tuner are over since buying my own power supply cord for the tuner. All my problems have now been gone since January. Internet works just fine. I understand they have updated the tuner power supply.

Did pretty good. went from copper internet 100 with pick 8 with Crave to fibre gigabit with 1 premium with 7 picks for 10 dollars more a month. About $160 a month pre taxes.

I have been with Telus for maybe 16 years, and get a new contract every two years. But, I always ask to speak with someone on the Loyalty Team to negotiate the new contract, a few weeks before the anniversary date. That way I never pay the full price for the services I get. Currently I pay about 50% of what would be the full price.
Last time I renewed I actually got a better deal than I had already. I called in about a month before my contract was up, didn’t make any threats, just asked for the best deal possible and was happy with what was offered. Contract ends in July so will see what happens this time.
How did the renewal go. Any tips?
