Why is CNN International in SD only?

This boils down to carriage agreements, and the fact that the domestic CNN Feed on ch. 802 has the higher viewership by far. CNN International is a bit more niche (though still popular!), but historically many international feeds were only offered to Canadian carriers in SD via older satellite signals. We're actively pushing to replace SD feeds with their higher HD equivalents as we move to a more All-IP based world for television.
