2 years agoHi BigAl2 , manual padding is on our roadmap for future releases. Currently, we do have the automated 60-minute padding for sports and the recordings will be automatically deleted after 90 days!

Hi Optik-Kate. We aren't seeing any time padding on NHRA events when we record. Are motorsports included in this? Does the event need to be marked 'new' for the padding to happen? I'm fairly new to Telus Optik and I have to say I'm disappointed this product was released in an incomplete state.

Hi, yes, for any live sports event, post-padding will be automatically applied. If it's a rerun, it will not be padded!
- WhisJacks2 years agoNeighbourHello Optik-Kate.
We are a new TELUS Optik TV customer and are sad to report that our recordings missed the endings to the NHL games 1 & 2 in the Dallas v Edmonton series last week. We don’t think they went more than 60 min overtime. Is there an update or programming solution that we can try for the rest of the hockey playoffs?- BigAl22 years agoFriendly NeighbourJust record at least the next 6 shows following the game and you will be able to see more of game.I don't trust the so called automatic time padding.Telus needs to give us manual time padding.
- MrsHill2 years agoNeighbourThanks but we've never had time padding on motorsports unfortunately and we always record the event live.

Thank you for flagging this. Can you provide the time, date, and channel of some of the events that should have been post-padded, but didn't? this will help us with the investigation. Thank you.
