Yeah if it was a rogers upscaling issue we would have massive complaints across providers as many people are following the blue jays this time of year. Seems to be only present on the new telus optik system, I will double check the old optik system my parents have but I dont think its an issue on that one either. Im just not sure if rogers is going to change anything if it works everywhere but telus new optik platform, seems like telus might have to look into why its not handling the colors properly on this new system.

We've validated internally that the colour space issue occurs across the legacy Optik TV platform (Arris/Technicolor PVRs and set-top boxes) and the next-gen Optik TV platform (Android-based set-top boxes and the TELUS TV+ app). We have been in touch with Rogers engineering and TELUS's AV pipeline team; the issue seems to be resolved; HD and 4K feeds look identical from a colour space POV, though the Blue Jays are out-of-town this afternoon and the issue seems worse when they're at the SkyDome. I can assure you that the TELUS team isn't making changes between the game and commercials and the game and the post-game or other programming (though it's very unlikely that post-game or commercials would be in 4K), so there is something going on with the 4K source feed for Jays games. The team is still monitoring. Thanks for the input and the patience.

Hi KHR,
It does only seem to be an issue when the Blue Jays are at home at the Rogers Centre or SkyDome as the old name will always stick. Tonight’s game in Detroit seems to be fine. I do notice when the Blue Jays are at home Sportsnet shows SN4K in the top right corner and it just shows SN when they’re on the road. This is the same for Maple Leafs games during the NHL season as well. Does this mean it’s only true 4K when the Toronto teams at home?
