Rural Internet speeds
Telus advertised speed for my area is up to 50 Mbps for download and up to 20 Mbps for uploads. Through all me testing it usually varies from 8 Mbps to 27 Mbps. Not even close to 50 Mbps making it impossible to watch HDR and Dolby Vision streams. Upload speeds are usually between 25 and 32 Mbps. Can anyone answer why my upload speeds are half or worse than what they should be?

Throttling is not good especially when I'm paying Telus for Stream+ Premium.

The fair use policy doesn't apply to every scenario but you can have a look at it here to see if it applies to you: https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/telus-fair-use-policy
FuzzyLogic also brings up a good point: many environmental factors can affect your wireless speeds if you're referring to Wi-Fi. Cellular data speeds are often quoted as "up to" for similar reasons but is also complicated by factors including (but not limited to): signal strength/spectrum coverage, device limitations, possible congestion.

Figured it out after searching Google. Seems to be Telus throttling on the 5G network. Disney Plus is especially bad here. I even get buffering at 1080p. 🤬

Are you doing your testing over a wired or wireless connection? If it's wireless there are many factors that can influence your speeds.
