Long distance for home phone services
There are no longer any White Pages or Yellow Pages Books provided for B.C. Customers which provides the information I am looking for and I am unable to find any information online and trying to call Telus Customer support is now an impossibility. No reps answer. Long waits with nobody answering. No way to leave a voice message for anyone to call back. Telus stores do not want to help with these types of requests.
I still use my landline telephone service and I would like to know what areas are long distance from where I’m calling from?
For example I’m aware most areas of the lower mainland of B.C. are not long distance from one city to another however some places are and if anyone knows where and how I can find this information out that would be much appreciated. CH

cholton3 This online resource may help: https://localcallingguide.com/lca_prefix.php
Fill in the "NPA" section with your area code then the next 3 digits in your phone number in the "NXX" field then click "Submit". Click on the line that matches your area code + next 3 digits and you'll see a list of numbers considered "local" to you. Any sequence not listed here will be considered outside of your local calling area (therefore long distance).- cholton3NeighbourThank You very much for your help that link helps me allot, must appreciated. I believe if you omit the 1 prefix with an area code you will be prompted to redial with the 1 prefix if it's a long distance call.
