Hi Sarah -did you ever get this " number of rings " problem figured out ???? If not then I have the solution for you. Yesterday my cat got behind my entertainment unit while I was cleaning and loosenda few cables and one was for my home phone. I tried that *94 thing again but still got the busy signal so I called into Telus and spoke to somebody at the Home Phone Tech Department. He explained that if a Telus customer has the fiber optic setup ( which I do ) then they will not hear the 2 beeps after hitting *94 but that they can still get the desired number of rings by hitting the appropriate number on their phone. You will know that the number of rings option has been updated when you hear " Call Forwarding Timer Updated Successfully " right after entering this number. Hope this helps.

It's easy to do:
Did you know you can easily change the number of times your Home phone rings before the call goes to voicemail? Follow the steps below.1 - From your Home phone, wait for a dial tone, then dial *94. You should hear 2 quick beeps2 - Enter the number of rings (from 2 to 9 rings) you want the caller to hear before the call is transferred to voicemail3 - Hang up. Your number of rings will have been successfully adjusted- SarahMNeighbour
this does not work for me, when I dial *94 it gives me a never ending busy signal, not 2 beeps

Hmmmm.....that's a bit odd. I just tried it myself and got the same result that you got. I guess your best option now would be to call Telus at 1-888-811-2323 and ask to be transferred over to the Home Phone tech department. Good luck.
