Call Forwarding Variable
Hi, I am trying to activate call forward variable. I dial the *72 then get the desired number to forward to. After entering the number it gives busy tone. Doesn't matter what number I try to forw...

Is this what you did?
To activate Call Forwarding Variable:
- Dial *72 or #72 from a touchtone telephone (72 from a rotary telephone).
- Listen for second dial tone.
- Dial the Call Forwarding Number.

Yep. Exactly that.
As soon as I dial the call forwarding number instant busy like signal. Doesn't matter the phone number I tried to forward to. Tried both my wife and I cell phone, my mom's landline number.

Any chance the call forward number is long distance, I expect that to work with 1 at the front. I used this in the past and not lately. If it is a fast busy that I think is an error message. Good luck sorting out this should be easy thing.
