Asking for ID over the phone
Out of curiosity, what is the reason that when you phone in to set up a new account they ask for several pieces of ID including, in my case, drivers license and passport # to check your credit score,...

Community Power UserYou only need to provide ONE of the government approved forms of ID. I believe it's a CRTC or regulatory requirement as other carriers have the exact same ID requirements. Unsure why the rep would be pushing so hard for the passport if you had already provided a driver's license.
