Internet disconnects and times out randomly
got the telus 1gig pure fibre installed after 1 day all my devices wireless and wired via ethernet cable all have disconnection issues. did ping test in cmd, it says request timed out when internet is down. i am getting 4000 packet loss in games and straight up disconnected from calls. had technician swapping the entire modem and still didnt fix the issue. having a hard time living with this crappy internet, wondering if theres a solution to this.

another tech advises:
Command prompt run as administrator
C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /flushdns
C:\Windows\System32> netsh winsock reset
Then reboot PC

I'm assuming you've tried to reset both router and booster, I also check to ensure only my devices are connected through Telus connect or enter the ip address through the browser in incognito mode. Do that with both. And when disconnecting the devices wait the full minute, don't cheat, it has to be at least 1 minute minimum before restarting. If you're in smaller community maybe all the bandwidth is being used........holidays, popular times. check surge protector because if there was a power surge or brownout it effects your surge protector and you have to ensure your device is off and turn the surge protector on and off and ensure the cable end clips arent broken on the ends, if they are don't use that ethernet connection, I'd still recommend Cat 6 I feel like without error codes or information it's difficult to troubleshoot....that's my bit.....hope it helps

yeah no i've checked everything already.. the connected devices it's only my 3 devices, my Ethernet cable is also cat6 new and old ones. theres a couple errors in the cmd ping test. theres request time outs, theres destination host unreachable. all the tests online that i did and the tech support did found nothing so i'm pretty sure it's a physical issue, after the modem is changed the only thing is either the ONT or faulty fibre cables.

On my windows PC/laptop I've had to go to system, network settings and disable and enable all the connections and restart my PC. You may also want to try a newer cable if yours is old. Wired is faster, plug directly into the booster device if having trouble with the switch. I know there isn't very many ports on there that's where it can get frustrating.

oh ive tried everything trust me, ive bought new ethernet cable ive rebooted and factory reset my modem and booster. my pc had time outs while connected to the modem and booster directly. and my phone and ipad also have severe disconnection issues too.

I have been having the same issue. We changed from Bell to Telus on Aug 8th and the wifi disconnets a few times an hour. I called and they had me reset everything. Told me to call back a week later, which was today. I spent 2.5 hours on the phone and according to them, nothing is wrong, or they fixed it. 10 min after getting off the phone, the Wifi disconnected again. The tech offered me to wait another week and see if it resolves itself, or I can pay $200 for a tech to come to my house...um excuse me? Why do I need to pay to have a tech come and service something that has never worked correctly.

Definitely not the experience we want for our customers to be having. If you're still experiencing this issue, feel free to send a private message to our TELUS_Support account and we can investigate further.
