When will Telus provide usable cell service in Comox Valley?
What is going on with Telus Mobility in Comox? My phone can show full bars connected to 5G network but I can’t get any data 90 percent of the time - on Comox Avenue, near my home, in east Courtenay, ...
I have had a cell phone since the 80's, they were bigger and they used antennas miles away. Called them mobile phones. Even had one where you pick up and ask the operator to call xxxxxxx.
With each improvement the transmit/receive distance is reduced, thus the term 'cell'.
5G is not what it was proclaimed to be, but the conversion to it is too far along. I live in a city and do not have 5G.
3G is about to be retired end of July. LTE is talked about more than 4G.
The solution for you in the country is to get Starlink and WIFI calling.
