At 15:23 today my phone stopped ringing. 😁
When you get lucky and have a dedicated Telus support person who sees it through to the end, things get done.
Case closed. Not sure if next month billing I get an overdue charge but I am not worried about it as the credit is there as well and I am sure it will be sorted too. Thank You.

June 14th my phone line is still alive and I received a bill on the new account for the coming month. My credit to pay the arrears is still on the old account.
But I do have an email correspondence ongoing from a frustrated tech support that alone cannot fix the issue. other departments must align with the problem.
BTW, there is no penalty as after 13 years it is month to month and I gave proper notice to terminate.
