Cannot get IPv6 to work on Business Fibre Internet 3G
I recently had Business Fibre Internet installed in Coquitlam. I have the Nokia XS-230X-A ONT which I can plug directly into my router or into a switch and then have multiple routers connected the switch.
For IPv4, this setup works great. I have one router for my home use and one router for my business use. I am getting very close to 3 Gbps through both routers.
Previously, when I lived in Surrey, I had a very similar setup although only a single symmetric 100 Mbps pipe. At that time, there were no issues getting IPv6 to work on both of my routers.
This time around, I have tried two different routers with no success. Router 1 is a Unifi UXG Fiber and Router 2 is a pfSense In both cases, I have set the routers to request an IPv6 prefix using DHCPv6, size 56, and not wait for an RA
Given an almost identical setup between the two locations (Surrey and Coquitlam) I am quite surprised to see no IPv6 support in Coquitlam despite it working when I was in Surrey not too long ago.

TELUS_Support I am being told by BCX WLN support that Business Internet plans do not support IPv6. They are IPv4 only.
This does not make much sense to me... I had IPv6 when I lived in Surrey and had TELUS fibre.

Some users on Reddit suggest that having the Business internet "Static IP subnet" add-on actually breaks IPv6 connectivity.
I have reached out to the support team to determine if this is the case. If so, this is quite disappointing but I would rather have the IPv6 addresses over a static IPv4 address.
In my experience, TELUS IPv4 addresses are essentially static as long as one does not power off their router.
It is a shame TELUS does not support true static IP directly through the network like other providers.- TELUS_Support

Hi there,
I filed out a support request on My Telus but have not heard back yet.
I figured I would ask if anyone has experienced this issue because sometimes the community has good ideas.- TELUS_Support

Hi TELUS_Support
I received a response from someone in BCX WLN Support and they said everything seemed fine on their end.
Unfortunately, I am still not getting IPv6 connectivity.

This may be a bit out of our scope of support on community as there could be provisioning/backend factors involved. Have you spoken to our technical support teams about this yet? If so, what was the outcome?
