IPV6 port forwarding not working

Hello Telus neighbours;

For past 4 day's I've been struggling to get IPV6 ports to forward. I'm on Fiber Optic using NH20T, that accepts the setting, however it fails to work. I've reset the NH20T several times and carefully chosen my port, my ipv6 address, to no avail. What am I missing?

  • No error messanges everything looks good. I tried without firewall, bridge mode, to no avail. Incoming IPV6 connections are all always blockec :(

      Hmm, ok. Here's our complete steps to do it, perhaps look it over and see if there's a step you missed.

      1. Ensure your target local device has a valid, static or reserved global IPv^ address (starting with 2001: or similar, not fe80:)

      2. Access the TELUS Network Hub Admin page - open a browser and go to 192.168.1.254 and sign in with your Admin password (should be on the NH20T sticker).

      3. Navigate to Firewall Settings - go to Advanced Setup --> Firewall --> IPv6 Pinholing (or IPv6 Rules, depending on your current firmware version).

      4. Create a Rule (Pinhole) - select your target device's IPv6 address, specify the inbound protocol (TCP/UDP) and the target port number, and Save/Apply the changes.

      5. Reboot your Hub - this will force the firewall table to refresh cleanly.

      Let us know if that does the trick!
