I'm experiencing an issue with my Telus TV+ channel guide. The filter and sort settings keep reverting to “All channels,” even though I had selected “My favourite channels.” While the TV is on, the guide correctly shows “My favourite channels” after I select it. However, after turning the TV off and then back on later, the guide has reset to show “All channels.” I’ve restarted both of my digital boxes, but that didn’t resolve the issue. I got a Telus TV Digital Box the other day and decided I wanted to mount it behind my TV. So I created and printed a mount for it based on some other designs. It's a nice snug fit with a few variations. I have multiple times opened settings, turned on closed captions, opened display settings and set caption preferences the way I would like: small font, 25% opacity on background. The example shown in settings would be perfect, IF the settings were applied when returning to live TV. Default of large font, white font on opaque black background interferes with decent program viewing. How to get the captions settings as set to apply to live TV? I've recently been getting this error while using the Telus TV+ app on Apple TV: "Fast forwarding is not permitted by the content provider." I can restart a program to the beginning after it's started but I can't seem to be able to fast forward or make a selection after it starts playing. So, I am literally day 1 with Telus tv. I switched from old school 1080p60 Shaw boxs. It is insane how poor the bitrate is with Telus tv plus. I have 5 gig fiber with telus (and love it). I have their android boxes hard lined too. Yes, I have the right res set on each box with the best possible quality set. The poor quality is 100% due to telus brutal bitrate feed. I should have done some more research on this, there are a pile of posts on this same subject. I just assumed with such good internet the bitrate would be good too. I flipped back to one of my shaw boxs, since my service was not cut off yet, and its crazy to see the difference in quality, especially in sports. Thankfully I am within the 30 days and will be returning everything and calling shaw asking to put a hold on that cancellation. With respect to Optik TV+ 21T boxes, the persistent issues with My Favorites and Recording Settings/Options are in their 2nd year. Is it asking too much: Telus, if you are reading this, are there any resolutions in the works? If so, any updates or ETA? Is cable TV still part of your mission? Last I checked it's still a line item on my monthly Home/Internet Services bill. Cable TV appears to have taken a back seat, or perhaps not even seated next, to Streaming and OnDemand services. Not looking for Amazon Fire Stick just a Telus Glow Stick would suffice for now. A non-complicated, unencumbered TV viewing experience is not a lot to ask; considering, we are committed to 2yr plans for just that!2.4KViews1like4Comments
