does porting a number cancel your previous plan?
Like everyone else I took advantage of a Black Friday plan deal. I ported my number from Telus to Public Mobile. I want to make sure my previous pre-paid plan with Telus is cancelled. When I click on "Device and Plan summary" and get the message "unexpected error". When I try to "Change Plan and Addons" I get a system error. Does anyone else get text promotions from Telus? The latest one they were offering was $25 for 6gb of data if you switched to a rate plan. After calling the number in the text, they went through confirming my name and address. Then they asked for my SIN number as part of a credit check. Which was a huge red flag.
