Rogers has the old programming. Should I switch back?

This has been ongoing for a while now. You must have missed the other discussions that went in depth about the changes. HGTV essentially is split in two. The Canadian content is under the Home network, which is what the original HGTV was renamed to. The American content is under the new HGTV, which is entirely separate because Rogers now owns the rights to it. The new HGTV has none of the Canadian content. Telus will eventually get that channel.
Rogers always negotiates in bad faith when they take over or offer new channels to other providers so that Rogers ends up with a monopoly on those channels for as long as possible before they let the other providers offer them to customers. Guess not enough CRTC complaints have been filed against Rogers yet.
