Remote stuck on "4" and can't exit Stingray.

Just Moved In

All the buttons on the remote control produced the number “4”! And the TV was stuck on Stingray. Sometimes I'd manage to switch to one of the other 2 working channels, but it'd come right back on Stingray.
The main box in the living room (recorder) was ok. So I tested the living-room remote control on the TV in my bedroom, and it worked better if I clicked “ok” twice quickly after choosing a channel (I could make numbers other than 4 with this remote control).
I found the solution in my case, so I'm sharing it:

"Press and hold the 4 and 6 buttons until the LED on your TELUS remote lights up solid green
The 4 and 6 buttons on the TELUS TV Digital Box Remote are highlighted

Press OK and wait for the LED to flash green twice (the remote has now been un-paired from your TELUS TV Digital Box)

Press any key and wait a few seconds (this will cause your remote to connect via IR mode)

The LED should now be flashing white with any key press

Press the OK button on the remote while pointing the remote at your TELUS TV Digital Box. This will trigger the Bluetooth pairing mechanism between your TELUS remote and TELUS TV Digital Box"
