New android box recordings

Just tried setting up my first recordings after getting the new boxes yesterday. I went to the guide and set up a recording for the Rachel Maddox show for weekdays at 9pm (channel 804). I just looked in my series set up and it shows it recording the eastern feed instead, at 6pm. I deleted the series and set up again via the guide, chose 9 pm and the series shows it set for 6pm again! This is ok some days but other days I will have too many things recording at once so I chose the west feeds instead for this recording. Why is it not accepting the time I asked for? It is going to result in me missing other recordings on days when there are too many other things going on!

Hi there! Just to clarify, are you able to record other channels at the correct time zone, or is channel 804 the only one affected where the PVR is recording the eastern time?

other channels are fine as the time shift is on different channels associated with their different times. Right now, for channels like 802 or 804 that show a program at two or three different times, we can not set up a series schedule for example, Rachel Maddow that is on at 6 and at 9. I go to the guide at 9pm, hot record and set up the series. It then shows up in schedule recordings as mon-fri, SIX pm. The only way to record it mon-fri at 9pm is to go into the guide each day and record it as a single program. It then records at the requested time of 9pm. The legacy boxes didn’t do this, this only happens on the new android boxes. Thx! 😊

To change your PVR recording from the Eastern feed to the Western timeshift, you can follow these steps:
 

  • Press the PVR button on your remote.
  • Select Guide to view upcoming programs or Schedule to view your already scheduled recordings.
  • Choose the program you want to change.
  • Select Record Settings.
  • Choose the TIME option.
  • Use the arrows to select the desired time slot for recording and select OK.
  • You can also adjust how long the recording will be stored by selecting the Save Until option and choosing either "Save until space needed" or "Save until I delete."
  • Additionally, you can decide whether to record first run only or both first run and rerun of a series by selecting the SHOW TYPE option and choosing the appropriate setting.

this answer is for the old remotes and legacy system. This issue is for the new evolution android boxes. There is no pvr button on the remote and not ability to change the time. Please re-read my precious explanation. Right now I am unable to set series recording for this show on 804 for 9pm….it just simply records it at 6pm. The only way to record it at 9 is to record each day as a single recording. On the old legacy boxes, I could go to the guide at 9pm, record series and each day, it would record at 9pm.
