WTF!
Only 2 renovation channels out of the hundreds they carry and Telus drops the one I watch the most: Magnolia Network
Not impressed at all

Corus Entertainement lost the distribution rights to Rogers (highest bidder to carry the content) which now own the rights to broadcast those channels in Canada. It's not a Telus Decision. All carriers dropped the channels, unless you have Rogers for TV service you won't get any of the channels CORUS lost the rights too. Food Network, HGTV, Discovery, Discovery ID, Bravo etc. Whether or not Rogers will allow carriers to pickup those channels again is up to them (as carriers will have to negotiate a deal with them if they ever allow it.
You will see many rebrands under the Corus banner picking up a majority of the programming offered on the networks lost. Magnolia content can still be viewed with a Discovery + subscription.

Thanks for clarifying that—it makes a lot more sense now. It's good to know that this isn't a decision made by Telus but rather a result of the rights shifting to Rogers. Hopefully, other carriers will be able to negotiate deals with Rogers in the future so more people can access those channels. In the meantime, it's helpful to know about Discovery+ as an option for Magnolia content. Let’s see how Corus handles the rebrands and fills the gaps with their programming. Fingers crossed it works out for everyone!

I mean Rogers would be dumb not to offer it to other providers. Not everyone has access to Rogers, I don't and i'm far from the only one.
