Favorite channels
10/22/24 It has been one year since I started this thread, rest assurred Telus is working on the problem.
I finally got the ability to choose favorite channels from my subscribed channels. GREAT right.
However, my wife does not know that after you turn it off and back on again you have to again and again choose favorite as it defaults to subscribed. Also the start over switch defaults to off.
WHY? Can we please have settings that stick to the last chosen so you do not have to reset on each TV startup.
The solution to this thread would be having the ability to choose and have that choice locked in until we choose to change it.

The last three days we turn on the TV and My Favorities are the default. 😃
any chance of flashing the update from February AGAIN to fix the My Favorites?
10/22/24 One year later and still My Favorites are not default when the TV is turned on.
- I agree. We were able to keep it on favourites. When is the next update to change this default setting back ?Regards,Mark
9/13/24 waiting for My Favorites to be default when TV turned on.
HELLO, this issue was already fixed. NOW, again each time the TV/tuner is turned on it shows subscribed. Favorite's is what I want as default. Why is it taking so long to fix something that was already fixed in February.
Well this issue was solved in February, only to reverse again in August.
WHY? Most likely the techs working the 1010101010101010 made a big mistake and they had to revert to a backup from last year. This explains why the July update did not make the news, there was no July update, no 2nd quarter update, just back the 2023 software.

Hi Rocky3 burnabyplumber, I have some good news. The guild filter will be defaulted to your choice of selection in the upcoming release in Feb!

This is still an issue. After selecting the favourite channels it does not default to it. Can this be done?
November 29, 2023. A month has gone by and each time the box is turned on must press guide, then options, choose favorites only to avoid extra unwanted channels from displaying. Thinking of leaving the box on 24/7 and just use remote for TV to turn off TV set only as the solution. Has a software update been rolled out? Have not noticed any of the issues others have brought up being resolved

Hi Rocky3 , the update for this month doesn't include making the favourite filter stick. I will be posting a list of changes soon, please stay tuned.
Great as I am having the same problem. Favourites list goes blank after every visit to the app
