Any successes physically taking your Optic TV box to the US and plugging it in to a VPN network connected to Canada.

We spend most of the winter in the US and would really like to watch our Optic TV

Your optik box must be connected to Telus internet. It will not work overseas or in canada for that matter without Telus Internet.

You won't have access to recorded shows on the PVR.
