It all worked this morning, shut off the news and at 5PM tried to turn it on. Only a white light at the base on steady, no blue flashing or steady blue to indicate it is working. No screen with Telus while booting. The ethernet plug into router is flashing like they are talking.
This one lasted about 2 months. And the power did not go off today.
@TELUS_Support I am sending you a PM

I have been saying it is a hardware problem.
The tuner is powered and ethernet connection is showing activity. But the HDMI output is not working. Boot up needs to see a TV.

My TV box started this a month or two ago, watch it rarely so I didn't notice. Have only had it "wake" 2 times randomly. Solid white LED on the device, flashing white on remote.
I've tried the reset button on back, tried disconnecting power+HDMI for a while, tried 4x unplugs, sometimes that'll show Telus logo for a second.
I have a high knowledge of tech, inputs, etc. It almost feels like either the box itself is hung up or waiting for a HDCP handshake that doesn't occur. No other device in the house has problems like this and there are many.

I said it was a hardware problem, I was right.
Today I received #3 TelusTV-21T tuner after the first two failed. To save time I plug in the ethernet, HDMI and power cord from tuner #2. The white light comes on and stays on, I leave it alone for about 1/2 hour. Still solid white light on #3. Plug/unplug sequence to reboot, nothing but white light.
Then I notice the ethernet cable from #3 plugged into router lights are off, there is a left and right.
Plug all back into #2, ethernet lights up left then right, then both fast flash, then repeat as if they are trying to connect to the net. I install another HDMI and ethernet cable, no change still solid light, no internet connection.
Move cables back to #3 immediate solid white light with no activity at ethernet port on router.
Hmmm
Ok, lets try the newly delivered power supply cord.
Its alive, alive I tell you, blue light flashing, TELUS appears on the screen, fill in the blanks for the account and goggle, new update available, installing, installed, reboot. (on its own)
Now a new home screen, OK where is the guide, first you have to move from Home to Live TV, scroll down click guide. Great new guide BTW, whatever show you are highlighting has a description at the top. Recordings are all there. ALL good it is working again.
Get out the volt meter and they are both 11.60~ volts for a device that should be outputting 12V. One works, the other from #2 only lights up the white solid light on both #2 & #3. New #3 power supply works #2 & #3 tuner.
The Hardware problem may have been the power cable on the #1 tuner, never checked. #2 worked from day one about a month ago, worked in the morning last Monday and not the afternoon and was always plugged in. Maybe the TELUS techs have an explanation for this finding? I think the plug on the power cord does not firmly attach to the pin to allow enough current to fire up more than the LED white light.
OK let's vote, how many think I should get a new power cord and no charge to keep both tuners for two TV's?

Boo, lost my response because I wasn't logged in.
I bet the AC adapter either isn't rated or is no longer able to handle the current draw of the box, just enough to light up but not enough for all the internals to function. Are the supplies the same specs? I have a bench power supply but I don't want to hack up my current adapter, I'll have to look for a matching barrel around, or see how I can get a swap. 11.6V itself should be fine I think, the voltages usually vary.

The 11.6 is obviously enough as new and old read within 0.1, but the older one once plugged in must lose voltage and amps enough to not work. They are rated for 12V 1.5 amps. I crimped the old one think maybe loose connection, but even tight all it would do is light the white light steady. A 12v adapter new should actually put out a bit higher volts.
If all these problems were because of the power adapter, I have saved Telus a load of money.
