I just received a call from someone purporting to be a Telus employee stating they were calling about my overdue account. They were questioning when I last paid my Home services bill and how it was paid. I knew my account was up to date and asked why they would be calling. I stated that Telus has never called me about outstanding bills, and they hung up. Is there some data breach at Telus that we should know about?

No, there's not. Unfortunately, fraudulent calls from bad actors claiming to be legitimate employees of a company have been around for a long time.
