taking my prepaid iphone 3 to thailand

I have an iphone 3 that I use as pay as you go with a 10.00 a month data plan. We are going to Thailand in less than a month and want to know if I can simply take out the telus SIM card and insert a thai one. I think I can buy a mini SIM card for my ipad, I did it in Mexico, and it works beautifully and want a cheap way for us to have a phone.

In general, it should work....

• I assume the phone is unlocked....
• I assume you have a charger adapter for their sockets...
• Just make sure the phone supports the frequencies.... the better places will allow you to try a SIM before selling you one.
