I can't find the plan that they mention anywhere among the rate plans on the Telus website (Talk + Messaging 10 – to your account. For just $10 per month it gives you 50 minutes of local talk time and 50 text messages, a 75% discount on our pay-per-use rates, so you can use your phone more often with greater cost certainty).
This is probably going to happen to my phone, and I would also consider switching another phone on to it, if I could find it somewhere.

I noticed that a change is coming in October 2013 for prepaid accounts with a balance of $300 or more.

Summary of change.
The TELUS standard mobility Service Terms have changed. Starting October 20, 2013, TELUS Prepaid customers with a $300 balance or more will be required to maintain a 30-day rate plan or a 30-day add-on on their account.
