I am out of country and cannot send mail. Incoming is fine. Is there an extension or different server name required other than smtp.telus.net

thats the problem with ISP based email. If trying to use a Telus(or any provider) email server settings(or just email) on another ISP's network, email security protocols will think you are a spammer and creating false headers. Sometimes it works. Other times, based on proper security, it does not.

Use the Telus web-mail page.

This is why many people have an ISP email account along with a Webmail account, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, For those times of travelling. They will set their ISP email address into forwarding mode to point at their their webmail accounts.

You need to set the SMTP port to 1025 to access Telus servers from outside the telus network.

Hi, if you still can't receive emails, you can do a Google search on "how to setup email" and enter your actual provider's name. You should be able to find the missing setting. Let us know which type of email account you're using, like a Gmail or a Hotmail or a different one, thanks.
