Essential phone update

I realize that Telus/Koodo take time to make sure developer updates are compatible with the Telus phones etc and that is why they are always a couple weeks behind software releases, but it is now August and they still haven't released the July update that came out a month ago.  Anybody at Telus with any knowledge actually know when this update is going to be released?

I believe you can put in a non-TELUS SIM card and get the update right away. If that's not an option, then you can download the official OTA .zip file from Essential's developer webpage and apply it via ADB sideload. There are easy-to-follow guides for sideloading online but it requires a PC and some additional software and drivers to get it to work properly.
