I just recently switched to Telus mobility and now all of a sudden I can't call people nor can anyone call me, on top of that I can't send out or receive any texts.
What am I supposed to even do in this situation?

Are you seeing signal bars to indicate you have a cellular connection? You can also try restarting the phone. Additionally you may wish to remove and reinsert your SIM card and restart the phone.
