Asurion Device Care price up - fix this Telus

So this is why customers don't trust Telcos in this country. Asurion gets to unilaterally raise prices - it's explained that it's not a contract, but when you sign a 2 year device contract with Telus, you expect that the price you sign for (collectively including everything) is the price you'll pay. If you have a Bring it Back plan, you want your device protected.

I'd like to suggest that anyone with a contract with Telus that includes Asurion device care reduce their payment by the increase amount. Telus customer service will say they can't do anything about it, because Asurion doesn't have a contract with the user and can raise prices unilaterally. Well, Telus CAN do something about it. They can advocate for their customers, or find a provider that won't change prices.

This isn't even the amount - it's the principle.

I also got this today. How is it when it comes to me paying for this it is a contract. When it comes to your coverage provider they can change the price as they see fit? I am not a lawyer but I am pretty sure you cannot do this. Talk to your contractor Telus, you are going to get a black eye for them trying to pull a fast one. This seems very much like a bait and switch, we were not told that the original price was just promotional (mainly because it wasn't).
