Okay, for starters, Home Phone, and Business Phone are two TOTALLY different product lines, and Telus won’t be offering crossover services. If you want that level of interaction of phone lines you need either to have both as business lines, and subscribe to appropriate services, or get a VoIP number, and manage the ringing of multiple lines via that service.
Due to regulation of residential phone, Telus will not offer business level services to home phone, so if you hope to have the sort of connectivity you seek, you need look to other options, as Telus simply can’t provide them.

Or a app that link 2 phones or devices to one number ( everthing you do to one happens with the other ) quatum link
so if you work in a... dangerous, underwater, construction, office, area you can have one phone for a Pacific job and another plan for the other , all data is automatically safe off site
Any phone can be set to safely store all its content in a safe location, accessible to anyone with the access credentials. You can also set shares so two or more devices (not just phones) can access that information. No need for any carrier to reinvent THAT wheel.

For voice calls the problem of associating one number with multiple devices has multiple solutions available from many providers.
Few good solutions exist for SMS messages being associated with multiple devices

Isn't that essentially call forwarding?

Usually, call forward directs an incoming call to different number without ringing, unless a specified form of call forwarding is used. If it were to be simultaneously set up on both phones, each would call the other, and no completion could occur. This would mean switching call forwarding on each phone as the need arises, possibly multiple times per day. I understand the OP to be requesting a service such as the previously offered Rogers One Number, or the multi-ring services of a number of VoIP providers. Also, given how impatient folks are, would they wait through seven or eight rings until the second number in a ring group answers? If not, then call forward no answer might be of limited value.
