Telus making it impossible to replace my eSIM card

i changed my phone number and now Apple requires my new number be attached to the eSIM card, which has to be done through my carrier. So I backed up my phone and assuming there would be no problems verifying like last time, I deleted it. So now I go to replace my eSIM card online and now Telus won’t allow me to verify through email, requiring me to verify through SMS or a phone call to my new number WHICH I CANT USE BECAUSE THERE IS NO SIM CARD ON MY PHONE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CALLS OR TEXT MESSAGES. So then I try to buy a new eSIM card online, and lo and behold, in classic Telus fashion (because why the hell should we have to make things simple for our customers to access the services we’re supposed to provide in exchange for all the money they pay up the a r s e for every month?), the eSIM has to be SHIPPED by mail!!!

Like are you seriously kidding me?? Why??

There is a POSTAL strike going on!! And it’s close to the HOLIDAYS! The mail is already going to be backed up for weeks!!

So why can’t I verify by email?? And why does a new eSIM have to be shipped by mail?? So what am I supposed to do until then??
