Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Blacklisted Question

paviter619
Just Moved In

Okay, so I purchased of a phone of Craigslist.

At the time of the meeting I made sure the phone I was purchasing was not fake, had warranty and also was not blacklisted. It checked out all fine.

It was a brand new phone, never activated.

I purchased the phone 15 days ago and today suddenly it gets blacklisted.

I still have the original emails from the seller but it turns out the phone number he was using to contact me was a TEXT NOW account as I tried calling that number.

Is it possible I can get this phone un-blacklisted by talking to a Telus representative and explaining my story?

If you have the original purchase receipt, you may be able to show proof of ownership, and get it unlisted

Don't have the purchase receipt, all I have is the chat transcripts with the seller and the original box with the stickers and everything on it.

Think you'll be Out of luck on this unfortunately. Unless you can find the seller, there won't be much recourse. I would have requested the sellers ID to protect yourself, for this very reason before giving them a dime..

Chances are the seller never owned the phone. The real owner discovered it missing then reported it stolen. They could have been on vacation, a retailer audit on inventory etc..

So many scams on Craigslist. Chat transcripts won't do much good as anyone can make a textnow account (burner phone).

Sorry for your loss of money.
