RE: new Android "L" software

Hello Everyone,

I own the Galaxy S5 smartphone which has an SD card in it.  My question is, do I have to remove the SD card before the new Android "L" software is downloaded and installed into the phone or can I leave the card in the phone?  I have some things saved on the SD card that I sure don't want to lose.  I sure hope that the new software does not re-format the SD card upon installation.  Thanks Very Much!!!

That is something you'll need to verify with Google or Samsung once the software is released. I don't see any reason why you can't take out the SD card when you update if you want to be safe. Next time you take it out, back up a copy of it's contents to your computer to be safe in case something happens to the phone.
