Missed call not showing/dead air message

About once or twice a week I have been receiving calls that do not ring, show no missed call but there is a dead air message left?  All my other calls seem to be coming through just fine.  Are these from telemarketer numbers that I have blocked?  How do I find out who is calling as it is super annoying!

Bingo! Blocked calls are dumped to your voicemail.

You might be able to track them down through your monthly bill, which shows all calls received to your phone /voicemail.

Are you on Android? And do you use Norton Mobile Security to block any calls? I have Norton Mobile on Android and when it blocks certain area codes I have set to block, the blocked calls do exactly what yours are doing. The calls aren't listed in call log, but they are listed in the Norton app's call history. It was very annoying to me too until I realized what was going on. Now I like not seeing pestering numbers on my call log.
