I just got a new Apple iPhone and I would like to know how to set up iMessaging and if it is free

Hi, you'll need to set-up an Apple ID in order to be able to use Imessages. It's a free application but it doesn't use the Telus text messaging system, it will use your data connection to send/receive messages. If you don't have a data plan, you'll need a Wi-fi connection or 4G data access but you can be charge for using the network's data service.
