Hello Craig,

 

They can help with making sure your internet works, but iMessage is a bit harder. Try turning it off/on again under (Settings/General/Messages).

 

iMessage is an Apple service, so TELUS reps don’t have any control over it.  If your internet works then your best bet is to call Apple directly.  

 

You might also want to check to see if they have an outage. They have a real-time "System Status" page for all of their services: http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
