@Wally_West: Welcome back Wally. Regarding your question, don't takeMe wrong but I considered too premature to decide, which would be the 2015 BEST Phone.

How about if we SELECT As well The WORST Phone of the year. But I propose to decide-about at year's end.. Meantime why not you retake, your roll as forum adviser-Not only ask Q?. We need to keep the forum Upright. Stay Tuned! <v9>

MAY I Report a bug: Reported already,.Here goes again. Why the NEW Ver.UI-Doesn't display the (OP=Original Poster-Nick) I sent an Object to Wally, don't get scare is called "Kudo" But I can't see it besides his "Nick"

Unless that Wally respond again then his Nick will Show UP: PS Return that feature or Show on Post-Text [#Likes-Date & time]Fix the board latest reply, fail to MOVE posts to top list.

To the last Commenter-No Worries it has been reported on that Site too. They monitor the boards it will be red it.

To Wally_West: Thanks for the "Kudos & for Marked my reply as Most helpful". Sent it on Jan-13-2015 @9:31 AM

Likely just incremental improvements, @wally_west so the current rankings may well stay the same.

Do you mean the BEST or the phones that will sell the most? Haha

If you mean the best, here are my thoughts...

Android:

  • LG's G4 - Despite what I personally find the be an ugly design, LG's G3 this year had amazing performance and a beautiful display. I expect a refreshed design and improved performance (hopefully when a 64bit processor)
  • The next (possibly last) Nexus. The Nexus 6 is an amazing phone. The new one can't be called Nexus 7 since they've already had a tablet with that name. I predict Nexus 8 or maybe they pull a Microsoft and jump right to 10

iOS:

  • Any new iPhone is the best iPhone. Haha

Windows Phone:

  • The next MS flagship is due out very soon, likely at Mobile World Congress in March. I expect this to be the last year Microsoft releases a high-end WP device. Based on their recent blog post, high-end WP devices don't sell well at all

Blackberry:

  • Based on their leaked roadmap, they will release another high-end QWERTY device late this year. That will be their best and the device that sells the most

Now if we are talking the devices that will sell the most, here's what I think...

Android:

  • Samsung S6. I just hope it doesn't have another camera hump
  • Samsung Note 5/Edge.

iOS:

  • See above. haha

Blackberry:

  • See above

Windows Phone:

  • Based on the Microsoft blog post I referenced, I expect the next generation 600 series WP device to outsell the rest of the pack.

The phones I'm personally excited to see are the HTC M9, iPhone 6s/6+s (or whatever they are called) and Moto X. I might buy them all if they are super cool. lol

I wish Nokia would release a basic feature phone in Canada (they're all for Asia/European 3G bands). I have a Nokia C5-00 and I love it. Can text much faster on it than an iPhone, it's small, has great battery life, swappable batteries and MicroSD. The big downside is that in Canada it is stuck on GSM and Rogers network sucks very badly so I stopped using it a long time ago. 😞

@Nighthawk

I've been lurking on the Koodo forums, and based on the number of questions / complaints about using a phone sans data, I believe there is a market for a phone with some of the tools of a smartphone, but without all the connectivity.

*Full Disclosure* I'm slightly biased towards Blackberries! lol But I would say the design forward aspects, awesome functionality of the OS, and cool factor would rocket the Blackberry Passport up to the #1 spot for best Blackberry device for 2014 IMHO. 🙂  I've had so many strangers ask me about it in awe, that it made me chuckle a few times! 😃

I can't really speak for IOS, but I feel the iPhone 6 plus was a daring foray into the larger screened device arena (The Samsung note may have taken a double take!)

In the Android boxing ring, I'm not sure exactly why... but I liked the HTC One (M8) 🙂 It just looks sleek ya know! *sound so vain!* Although the Nexus 6 and Note 4 I want to say are close runners up!

My 2 Cents! 🙂

Greetings Wally, I agree with Dark_knight but why not ask the same question in June, I'm pretty sure new phones will be available and we'll work on a top 5 mid-2015 devices 🙂

What do you think everyone?
