Putting ONT and Modem in 2nd floor bedroom?

I will be opening a new account for only my use in our house. Would it be possible to run the fibre optic cable from the demarc box to my bedroom on the 2nd floor and have the ONT and modem in my room? Our house is not wired for ethernet and all wired devices will be in my room anyway

Also I was told that the fibre optic cable used by TELUS now is semi-transparent and shouldn't be visible when ran inside our house. I just want to confirm if this is true? I think it was called Invisilight

I am not sure about the semi transparent part but I think it’s a super think cable they run along the corners of the walls. Since the cable is thin it’s not as visible but if you looked for it I think you would see it.

Do you get good wifi signal now in that second location? I ask because I too have a separate network, (but I ran ethernet cables from A to B). My network still uses the same internet but is isolated from the main one.

If you get good wifi signal then wire in a wifi router with ethernet from Telus router (as close as you can even at source) and you can be separte network without extra cost.
