If the DLink doesn't support multi-cast data traffic, or if it does and it's not enabled, that will cause the older Optik TV boxes to cut out like that. You'll need to go through the settings on the Dlink to see if there is an option for multicast data on it. Not many third party routers / APs support multicast.
