Recently our home phone has been dropping calls. We are in the middle of a call and the phone drops the call. This has happened at least 6 times now.Telus says it because there was an outage in our area a few days ago but it is still happening. Surely this requires a tech visit??/

A tech visit would probably be the best option if you've confirmed that the problem is with the connection itself.

It very well might. Have you also checked our troubleshooting tips over at: https://www.telus.com/en/support/topic/home-phone/fix-issue/home-phone-issues?INTCMP=Tcom-support_fi...

Thanks I have done all the troubleshooting tips - and this has not solved the problem - a second call to Telus has said the outage may have affected us but that was almost six days ago and the outage MAY not have been fully resolved as yet - this is ridiculous. I think I need to get to come to the house but they say it would be charge to me if it is my phones - but it can't be as I have done all the troubleshooting

We had the same problem for months. Had a tech on the phone having me trying all kinds of stuff and he said that the problem is not with the phone line because plugging a phone directly into the ONT worked perfectly fine. I replaced the home phones with the 5 handset Panasonic KX-TG175C from Costco and it fixed the problem.

I really want Telus to come to the home because the phones are relatively new Panasonics. We have plugged a corded phone in to see what happens. In addition they are now saying that there was an outage in the neighborhood a few days ago. Before i go to the expense of a new phone, I would like a tech visit

That'd need to be done directly with our Tech Support team. Feel free to send us a private message if you'd like us to connect you.
