Telus hasn't announced anything. Considering the sheer number of homes in the province that need to be converted to fibre, it's very difficult to even guess when any town or area will be upgraded.
One thing people should do, even if they're not switching, is to fill out the forms on Telus's website to request fibre in their area. The more requests Telus gets from any one town, the more likely that town will get bumped up the list of places to be upgraded. You could also approach the local town/city council and have them make requests to Telus also. These won't have immediate effect but it could help speed things up.
