One day TELUS offer us to install new top of the line fiber optics super speed internet in our Strata. Free! What a deal. Something is FREE in Canada. We accepted thinking that it will be quickly completed. TELUS tech left the hole in the wall with cables hanging in the middle of the living room for days. It took us many tries to get this crap work completed and the wall repaired. Of course after that nightmare experince I choose to stay with SHAW. Also TELUS was fastening conduits on building siding without even offering details how conduits were attached. Since it is too high we couldnt inspect to be sure that water is not going to damage siding and envelope after years of rain. But I guess thats how TELUS is doing business. In case of siding damage is TELUS to pay for the repair? Are your techs subs or they are TELUS full time emloyees?

That is something you'll need to talk with your strata about. They would have been the ones to approve the fibre installation and they will be the ones to deal with how the lines were installed. I'm on my condo board (since 'strata' isn't used in Alberta) and I did go through the process of getting Telus fibre run to my building several years ago. Individual unit owners had no control over anything attached to common property so any issues (and there were nearly none) had to go through the board and the Telus rep assigned to the board for the installation. That includes for in unit issues related to the initial installation as things were dealt with much faster that way.
