1.5g down but only 250 up

I have 1.5 down into my udm pro it works fine. I have the new ONT so no issues. My upload is somehow limited to 250 up and my UDMpro sfp+ is locked at 10g. Anyone know how I can get my regular upload increased? If I plug into the ONT i can get full upload speed so its something in the configuration on UDMPro side

It sounds like the issue might be with the UDM Pro’s configuration rather than the ONT itself. Since you’re getting full upload speeds when directly connected to the ONT, try checking the following settings on your UDM Pro:

  • Port Settings: Ensure that the SFP+ port on your UDM Pro is set to auto-negotiation and not locked at 10G, as this could be limiting the upload speed.
  • VLAN Settings: Verify that the VLAN settings match those required by TELUS for both download and upload consistency.
  • Traffic Shaping: Check if Smart Queues or any other traffic shaping settings are enabled — disabling them might help restore full upload speeds.
  • MTU Size: Confirm that the MTU size is set correctly (TELUS typically recommends an MTU of 1500).

If you’re still experiencing issues, you might want to try restarting both the ONT and the UDM Pro after adjusting these settings.
