Official Support TeamUsually this is a mandate put in place by the broadcaster itself (they don't want people skipping through advertisements). You can always record a program and then fast forward through it at will.
NO, you cannot fast forward all recorded shows. NEWS is this thread. The 11pm Global BC news cannot be fast forwarded live or recorded as an example. TELUS_Support should know this. There are more. For a while the 11pm news could not be restarted if you came in late. A lotta glitches that are not making sense when they are isolated.
